Icon or Idol?

The primary currency of our culture is image not words. The church is the last entity to recognize this. You willingly have a star, because an image-culture requires an image. You have to decide if you will be an icon or an idol. Icons you look through. Idols you look at. If you’re talking about leadership, you’re moving on the idol path. If you’re talking follow me as I follow Christ, you’re on the icon path. Len Sweet
