Buddy Trusts Me

I should be in bed because I get up really early. But I'm sitting here with my dog Buddy lying in my lap. He's crying softly with pain. I picked him up from the vet's at 5. He had another surgery on his leg today.

He teaches me so much about me and God. I made the decision to take him for the surgery that's causing his pain. I know it will be better in the long run. He just knows it hurts.

Right now, he's in a lot of pain, pain I decided to inflict on him, and he looks at me with moist pain-filled eyes and trusts me with his life.

I want to be God's dog. I want to trust God as much as Buddy trusts me.
